I've moved on to another job that I am doing well with. I sell auto parts, something I know a little bit about. Certainly not the kind of money I like but I'm lucky to have a job right now. I do enjoy the people I see and work with and I don't dread going to work everyday.

What's unemployment like in Illinois? Do you have any tips for those that might need to collect?
In New York state unemployment pays $405 a week. You can apply for it over the phone. At least that was true during the summer of 2005. What was your experience like?
You can apply for it over the phone here as well. But they fight you tooth and nail every step of the way. Yes, it does suck not to have a job. As a younger man I came into some money and I invested in some rental property which greatly helped during that time. It was still tough though, thank god for credit cards or my kids would have a had a weak Christmas.
